Thanks to the implementation of international Quality Management System we have succeeded in developing a highly efficient workflow processing organisation.

    Project management

is one of the key components of a proficient and comprehensive management system in our company and professionally organised project management is a guarantee of product quality. At Avanta we apply the following stages of the project management process:
    1. initial stage involving receipt of the source material from the client either by e-mail or through our on-line translation request form and analysis of the source text (along with discussing preferential terminology or TM usage with client)
    2. planning stage including the process of project team building (choosing the most appropriate and project-specific translators, proofreaders and consultants) and scheduling the work process together with fixing the project milestones to control the work status for keeping to the deadlines
    3. preparation of the source material (for further use with CAT-tools, if necessary), layout preparation.
    4. main stage involving the allocation of assignments between the project team members, coordination of their work as per the scheduled milestones, monitoring the process of glossary/TM creation and updating and providing all project team members with updated glossaries/TM to ensure consistency at the early stage, providing the team members with consultants where necessary.
    5. final stage involving product on-time delivery, getting client's feedback, review of client's comments and organisation of corrective measures where necessary.

Moreover, Avanta Translating offers a project tracking option (New). What does this mean? Each project is handled by one English-speaking project manager who is responsible for coordination of every stage and who prepares the regular progress report in a form of an Excel file which can be forwarded to the client. It is also possible to get an immediate response through instant messaging.

Depending on the project duration, to use this option, a client just asks for daily or weekly progress reports using our regular Translation Request Form (“additional remarks” section).

    Quality Control Procedure

Client satisfaction is our prime objective, our reward and the measure of our proficiency. At Avanta Translating we ensure quality by following these principles:
    1. All in-house and freelance translators have more than 3 years experience in written translations and more than 1.5 years experience in the specific area of expertise.
    2. All translations are made by native speaking translators experienced in the project-specific field.
    3. All translators and proofreaders are required to follow our local instruction guidelines.
    4. All translators are required to follow glossaries and TM provided by the project manager.
    5. All translators are required to perform a full spelling, grammar and consistency check before delivering their work to the project manager.
    6. All translations are proofread by in-house proofreaders who perform another spelling, grammar, style, consistency and completeness check.
    7. Finally, before delivery to the client, all translations are reviewed by the project manager assigned to the particular project, who is experienced in the subject matter and its terminology and who is capable of distinguishing and correcting any small residual errors.
